A custom-built mansion on the Maine coast has hit the market for $10.495 million.

Sitting on just under 2 acres on Phillips Cove in York, Maine—about 12 miles north of the New Hampshire border—the residence is one of the priciest to hit the market in the state in recent years, according to listing records.

Built in 2018, the more than 7,000-square-foot home boasts far-reaching views of the Atlantic Ocean framed by floor-to-ceiling windows throughout.

“Every detail was carefully selected to embrace the quality craftsmanship expected in a coastal home of this caliber,” according to last week’s listing with Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty.

Known as the Shorehouse, the gated six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half bathroom traditional-style home is surrounded by manicured lawns and seaside walking trails, listing photos show. Mature hydrangea bushes, a staple of coastal gardens, grow throughout the grounds.

Inside, the residence has a living room with a gas fireplace, a vaulted ceiling with wood beams and French doors that lead to a patio. The adjacent chef’s kitchen features two islands with quartz countertops and a walkthrough pantry that connects to the bar and formal dining room, plus a circular breakfast nook with walls of windows.

The sunroom also has floor-to-ceiling glass, with doors that open to the pool courtyard, according to the listing. The area has a blue granite sun deck, a heated, salt water pool and a private pool house with a kitchen, bathroom and hot tub. There’s also an outdoor shower and a fire pit.

Two primary bedroom suites—including one on the main floor—feature private outdoor space, walk-in closets and bathrooms with two vanities and soaking tubs. There are two additional en-suite bedrooms, plus a bunk room.

There’s also a billiards area and a media room with a cupola, built-ins and a bathroom, creating a “versatile space [that] certainly offers many living options,” the listing said.

The property last traded in 2020 for $5 million, according to property records. The owners were not available for comment.
